The resurrectionist sitting next to a newly recovered stiff as his henchman comes in with a shovel

The Rentboy & the Resurrectionist

Although the Buggery Act of 1533 has been repealed a couple of years ago, in 1830s London sex between men still remains punishable by death. This does not stop gay men from finding love at Molly Houses and rentboys from plying their trade.

With a reduction in the number of execution combined with a growing interest in medical surgery, the Murder Act of 1752 is no longer able to provide enough "stiffs" for the cities anatomy schools to disect. This has opened up a lucrative black market for resurrectionists to dig up the recently diseased and sell them to the highest bidder.

In my upcoming comic book "The Rentboy & the Resurrectionist" these two worlds overlap. I plan to release it in 2021, but you can get a little sneak peek now! (18+ NSFW).

Turning Queertales into a Static Site

I guess the title of this post can be interpreted ironically, as queertales.com has been quite static for a few years, with rare updates from me, but that’s not really what this post is about. . . .

New Projects on the Distant Horizon
